Just what I needed

I've previously taken an LCM exam and can tell you that Trinity are by far the better exam board for anyone wanting to sing rock and pop. They just seem to be more in touch with the needs of modern singing students and this is reflected in this book. Not only does the book contain sheet music (with lyrics) from some of today's hits and classic songs but it is also full of tips on how to perform the songs as well as backgrounds to them also.On top of this you also get a CD which includes 2 tracks of each song, one with a vocal so you can hear for yourself what the song sounds like (or what the examiner will be looking to hear) and one with just the backing track so you can sing along like karaoke. The versions of the songs are excellent and aside from a few edits here and there (verses etc are cut out to make each song around 3 min) and the odd key change (Everybody hurts is now in A instead of D, threw me a little at first as I know the original quite well) they are perfect for helping you practice. Incidentally Trinity do offer downloads of some of the songs in different keys.What can I say? I'm looking forward to aceing my grade 5 exam and progressing to Trinity's grade 7 book (once they've been released of course). I will definitely be using Trinity again.Oh one final thing I know this isn't strictly related to the product but the delivery time was unbelievable. I ordered it on Thursday night after my lesson and it was here by Saturday morning!
