When you are strapping some technology to a tree, it helps that it is not too expensive so you don't feel too bad if it is stolen. We had an expensive name brand trail camera before that we needed to attach a model specific lockbox to the tree to make sure it didn't get stolen. The lockbox cost nearly as much as the camera and when the camera eventually died, the lockbox became worthless too. This camera is much less than we spent before and has better resolution and nicer features like side motion sensors that pre-activate the camera for faster capture. The only accessories that come with this camera are a mini-USB cable for data transfer and a 1 inch mounting strap, 58 inches long. A 1 inch strap is the largest that will go through the loops on the back of the camera. You'll need 8 AA alkaline batteries (AA lithium is recommended for cold weather) and a standard SDHC or SDXC class 10 card up to 512GB. We used an SDXC micro USB card (formatted FAT32) in an SD card adapter which worked fine. If your card is formatted exFAT, you can use the camera to format the card FAT32. Once the camera is mounted in place, we don't use the data cable. We just swap out the memory card, check the battery level on the display and rearm the camera. Back where it's warm we can put the card in our computer to download the pictures and video. Battery life varies with how active the location is. The manual claims 8 months in standby meaning as long as it never sees anything for 8 months. We hope that doesn't happen.

Die Wildkamera ist gut verarbeitet. Eine Wandhalterung, Batterien und SD Karte ist nicht dabei und muss extra gekauft werden. Gut: Die 940nm NoGlow Infrarot LEDs sind nur ganz wenig sichtbar. Die Blitzreichweite ist ca. 5-6m. Bewegungserkennung ist ok. Die SW-Nachtbilder sind akzeptabel(höchstens VGA Qualität), ähnlich andere Wildkameras in dieser Preisklasse. Durch die etwas längere Belichtung sind nachts bewegte Objekte oft unscharf/verschwommen. Tagsüber sind die Bilder und Farben ok. Auflösung tagsüber vermutlich ca. 3 MP. Die Batterielaufzeit/Verbrauch ist ok. Bedienung und Bildqualität ähnlich meiner GardePro E5, wobei diese einen etwas stabileren Verschluss und eine breitere Dichtung hat, und etwas günstiger ist.
