Stiff plastic with no bottom that doesn’t grip. Works OK ish on our very old doors that have large gap between the floor and door, but not on any of the newer ones, would need a hammer to get them under the door enough to do anything.

The hanger is a good idea. The wedge is a bit steep and being stiff plastic, there is not enough give. So it's a bit of a faff to get them wedged under door that are tight to the carpet. Might not work at all without carpet to grip on to.Just about works for me, though.
