Very solid ratchet, a bit more stiff than other ratchets of this size/type, but I think since it appears to be a heavy-duty ratchet, that's probably what accounts for the heavy ratchet action and is more than likely an intended feature of it's design. I haven't had the pleasure of using it on my vehicles yet, but when I do, I'll probably be impressed! I can't tell where it's made, but it has English and German writing on the placard that it comes attached to, since it comes from Europe, it's probably aimed at a European market anyway.
