If you can recall the last two summers, carrying a fan around is no longer an affection, but a useful tool for dealing with the heat. My children wanted some fans to use and these 'Hand Folding Fans' work well. The design is based on Chinese mythical creatures. The colours are subtle, they would work for an adult or a child. One child likes the Chinese feel, the other that the creatures remind them of Pokémon.They are about the right quality for the price, sturdier than the cheap options you can get. The fan itself is a treated faux silk and it has some strength to it. Opening the fan is simple but closing it can be tricky as the folds do not always line up. An adult will have little issue, but the children needed help. The frame is plastic and look reasonable from a distance. The most important thing is that they open to a good size and provide a nice amount of waft, and woft.

Lovely colours and appear to be well made too. Nice and compact, easy to fit in a handbag or at least my wife says and she's the one they were ordered for!Not much else that I can say, although I would point out that the two tassels weren't black as shown in listing photos. One was gold. Not an issue really but needs pointing out.As for value for money, I don't have experience of buying fans but the price seems very good to me for the quality. The final good reason for buying hand fans - the only energy needed to use them is your own, and not from disposable batteries or an external charger!
