This is a really nice clear wide view eyepiece. It makes 50X in my 900mm f.l. 3 1/2" telescope, which I use to look across Long Island Sound (18mi.) It gives spectacular views of boats and on clear days the opposite shore. The moon looks great through it too, filling half of the view.

I’m an instant fan. The large fov is immediately evident. Background is dark. Stars and DSO’s are clear. I saw things I never had before and in large part that’s because cruising the sky with 60 degrees gave me a wider swath to notice them. The build quality is exceptional and I now know the difference quality optics can make first hand.

This is my first eyepiece upgrade in many years from 4000 series Plossl. This is a keeper, and I have added others to my wishlist in this line. Hard to beat for the price.

Excellent build quality and works well with either my 4.5 inch reflecting scope and 10 inch Dobsonian scope. Clear and sharp views at all points. Can't go wrong with this EP for the price and performance.

I have a lot of 4000 Series Ploss Eyepieces... it's my first 5000. I am surprise with the field of view and superior resolution quality of this series! It's great! Made all difference between a good toy and a good instrument in my scope.I am using with a 70x of diameter gain, with a 90mm scope... so I have ~1,28 of exit pupil (I think)... it's pretty good for a 70x in a small size scope. I recomended this product if you want to invest a little more in quality in your scope... by other side, 4000 series is a good option too.
