Very nice fit and finish but some issues which are important to note The bezel on mine is very stiff. I have it on my Noga holder and if I try to zero out the needle the entire holder shifts. It should be much easier to turn. Also I just tried to remove the point or tip to replace with a wider surface area one and I can’t get it off. I just used my fingers but no way am I going to put a wrench on it…yet. The point HAS to be replaceable, right? Could it be installed with Loctite?Comparing it to my Shars it’s visibly better quality but the Shars is easier to zero the needle and the tip is replaceable. Would I buy again? Eh, probably not unless the bezel loosens over time and I can get the tip off.Edit: I did end up using pliers to get the point off. It was definitely much tighter than I would have thought for these little threads. Also I dove in and disassembled the indicator and adjusted how tight the bezel is. Now it’s easy to turn and is smooth as butter. I shouldn’t have had to do this but here we are. Now this dial indicator is very very nice, if I can get more Käfer indicators at a good price I would with the assumption I have to do a bit of disassembly and final tweaking. If you don’t want to do that, move on and get a better tool like Mitutoyo or Starrett.

Nutze die Messuhr für mein 3d-Drucker Druckbett zu vermessen. Die Messuhr ist sehr gut verabeitet und macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Sie reagiert beim Messen sehr präzise. Würde sie wieder kaufen.
