I got this for my SL1. It works perfectly with my SL1. It was fully charged right out of the box and powered up my SL1 with no problems. The USB charging works beautifully. It comes with a USB C to USB C cable, but no power adapter. You can use any USB cable, e.g. a USB A to USB C cable, and any power adapter you have sitting around, as long as the output is a USB C connector. The built in USB charging port is genius! I'm able to charge it in my car on-the-go without the need to bring a charging base! All you need is a power source with a USB C connector. The universality of the USB C connector makes for very, very flexible charging options.Highly, highly recommended.

I have an old canon m that uses this kind of battery, and it has always been a gripe of mine they do no charge via usb. Well this one does, and to top it off, can power a usb port as well. Bonus? I don't know how high the power draw it will support goes, I used a near 5w draw and it maintained that for a while. Honestly I don't even care about that aspect as much as the ability to charge from USB. Worked with a 20w usb-c charger and didn't complain. Hopefully canon gets on board with this phenomenon if I ever upgrade my camera!

I have a Canon M50 camera, which uses the same battery configuration as this product. When I saw this battery in the Amazon Vine offering, I decided to give it a try—mainly intrigued by the addition of a USB-C charging port. Unlike standard LP-E12 batteries, this one doesn’t require an external charger; you can charge it directly via USB adapters, car chargers, or power banks. It even has a built-in charging indicator—red for charging, green for fully charged. The battery comes in premium packaging with some warranty materials, which is a nice touch. It fits in the camera’s battery port, though not as smoothly as a proprietary Canon battery. I’ve had experience with third-party batteries before—some tend to swell over time, making them difficult to remove. While this one installs and extracts easily for now, I’ll update this review if that changes.

I really like is the built-in charger. What I really love is that real capacity rating. Don't be tricked by bigger capacity than 750mAh for this battery model, this is just about the maximum that can fit in these, I never tested much more than this and tested a dozen. This one gave out 725 mAh when tested at 300 mA load.

I own a camera that uses this type of battery. It works well in it. I also ordered the LP-E17, and there are some slight differences in the design. They are odd differences, but they do make it a little easier to tell them apart. It charges easily with a regular USB C charger. There are lights to indicate charge level when charging.I am looking forward to my next trip, and that I should be able to just use the same charger as all my other devices.
