The cat really likes drinking from this fountain much more than a static bowl. Lots of cats are attracted to moving water and the one using this is no exception.It's not hard to use or keep clean enough to not have to worry about it. Because it stores much more water than any water bowl, and is hard to knock over (I shan't say impossible, there's bound to be a cat that can manage it) this can keep a pet watered safely for much longer. Fresh and running water may help persuade them to drink a bit more and avoid kidney issues as well so that's worth considering.

Bought the "wrong" one (I intended to buy the cheaper stainless steel version) and would have sent it back except for the fact my cat likes drinking out of it. I have a small apartment so the "dripping" noise (like a faulty water faucet) is slightly annoying but I just unplug it at night.

The fountain arrives in a small box, the unit is compact itself. In the box you get an adapter with different plug options if needed.The pump is easy to take apart and put back together. Having used a few other pet fountains, that is always something that can be challenging to do.Cleaning is fairly easy, there aren’t many crevices or difficult to reach areas. However, there are a few smaller components which are a little more difficult to clean thoroughly. It does state that some components are dishwasher safe, though we haven't tired that out.Overall, it is a nice and easy to use pet fountain, I always struggle to review this sort of thing, so I hope this helps in some way. :D★★★★☆ - Good

As a seasoned user of a cat fountain from another well known brand I was keen to compare this to my old model.It's a good size for a cat, frequent small top ups keep the water fresher than filling a too large reservoir.The LED light allows the fill level to be seen and provides a night light which is useful when being called to the kitchen during the night to see to the needs of the Lord of the Manor. If the level starts to run too low it gets noisier then shuts off.When I chose my previous fountain I chose one with a stainless steel top for the look which required regular descaling to avoid permanent staining by limescale build up. This fountain is all white plastic and one clear advantage of this is limescale build up doesn't show on the top so less frequent descaling is possible.The filter keeps the water fresh, traps fur and dust etc.. I'm guilty of changing the filter too infrequently, I wait till the cat won't drink then when I check it the filter is full and there's usually green growing inside the water chamber, I am used to taking the internal workings apart to clean everything with a toothbrush at every filter change so setting this up and taking it apart to clean it is not unexpected.I ordered this at £46.20 which I felt was too much for an all plastic fountain. It is currently £35.99 which is still more than many all plastic fountains although it will be on 24/7 and Petsafe is a well known brand with replacement filters readily available, many will take this known reliability into consideration.Be aware it took c. 1 month to arrive so it's not for those in urgent need.
