Okay not had this long enough to be totally proficient with it yet. How do you become proficient, it’s a metal seal that you place on hot wax, yes I know but there appears to be a knack to it which I don’t, as yet, possess 😳 Has wax changed since my last use of it, mind you it was back in the 1700s Anyway a deeper cut design would have, perhaps, worked better and seal wax that doesn’t burn/melt with a sooty finish, not the concern of this seller as they didn’t sell the wax to me, would be far more attractive on the end product. Maybe these issues will be resolved with much more use, better quality wax and or experience. I hope so.
