I needed a replacement energiser for a 200m length of electric sheep net (6 strand) that was relatively cheap. This is good enough for the job and, having inadvertenly touched the live fence, can say it will certainly stop sheep, lambs, horses etc. I run this from a 12v lead acid battery and solar charger with no apparent drain on voltage. Useful LED indicator but no on/off switch. Some of the external wires rather thin and not very robust. The instructions say it is best sited out of the weather though it is rain proof. I'm not certain how long it will last but as I only need it to work for up to 5 years to protect new trees so it should be OK.

I own 3 of these units. I run them because they’re cheap and powerful. The good bit: they’ll keep the cheekiest of fence breakers where they’re supposed to be. The bad bit: the solders fail, where the wires connect to the crocodile clips. Luckily, my partner is happy to do the necessary repairs, but, if you can’t solder, or don’t know anyone who can do it for you, don’t buy these units.

This worked for about a week really well. After that it stopped kicking out any power but the lights stayed on. Brought new battery's for it nothing. It wouldn't even light up a voltage tester. Don't waste your money on it. At this point it's cost me more than its worth.

This fencer was brilliant at first but it just died out on me after 12/16 monthsI was using it on my poultry netting to keep predators outCan anyone tell me if I can return this product
