Handy little tool for those woodwork Jobs on a model railway or diorama.

The Dremel Plunge Router attachment is, to some extent, compatible with a range of different Dremel units however there can be issues. In my case I have the Dremel Professional 398, this fits the plunge attachment and screws in firmly but you then need small fingers to reach the shaft lock button, otherwise it means removing the router each time you want to change router bits. There is no option to attach a vacuum unit, maybe not a problem when using a jig or the edge tool but when free routing it means stopping regularly to clear the saw dust to see where you are going. There are also no guide marks around the router platform to show where the centre is, again not always an issue but would help when initially positioning or following a line. The depth stop is easy to set approximately but making very small adjustments more tricky. The handles are comfortable and easy to lock while down.The router bits are very small, only suitable for the smallest of jobs. If you don't have one you will need a 3.2mm collet to fit the bits into. Note that the bearing guided bits do not have actual rotating bearings, just a rounded off fixed surface. The box supplied for the bits is very small and can be fiddly to get closed.Overall the plunger attachment and bits work well for occasional small jobs but don't expect the power, precision and durability of a good dedicated router.
