Darn Tough socks are basically the only socks I wear now. I now own about 10 pairs, and I'm happy I'll never have to buy another pair of socks for the rest of my life.Warranty. Warranty. Warranty.Yes, they are expensive, but they are totally worth it.

These socks might be a little expensive but it is well worth it, they are well built with reinforcements in the correct areas and also have a lifetime guarantee if you send them back to Darn Tough. So good I bought a second pair having had one pair for quite a few years already. Hand wash is the only downside! Socks come to just above the ankle so suitable for standard walking boots. If you have particularly high ankle support though I would get the other fit.

The first pair of Dark Though I've bought were 4 years ago for a hiking trip. I bought 3 pairs that I used heavily for the last four years and they still look and feel like new. Those are the last socks you'll ever buy. I bought those ones because I wanted smaller, lighter socks for this summer and they feel just as durable and confortable as the other ones.I had bought my smaller socks from Ice Breaker before that because they also do Merino Wool but the socks had holes in 'em after only a few years. This is nothing but Darn Though for me now.

Good with sandals.

Wow - these socks are tough. On or off road and up to marathon distance, I've done a few hundred miles in these and not even the first sign of fraying or any threadbare sections around the toes that I've experienced with other socks. Possibly not a true summer sock but worth living with a slight increase in warmth just for the other benefits.
