This is a product I didn't know I needed until I had it. It's a nice size but still fits in my drawer. It is sturdy and works well. I got it because I threw out all my black utinsels (which may contain heavy metals). This slotted spoon is a great and safer improvement.

This spoon is great - would buy again. I often use it to strain poached eggs and it is just the right size for that. The colour is cheerful and nicely finished.

The business end of this pliable round spoon is almost 4 inches across, with 31 holes (!) in a flat bottom that drains fast. The edges of the spoon slope up about 3/8 inch at the edge, making it easy to scoop up the sides of a deep dish, pan, or instant pot. The handle is rigid and non-slip. Both handle and spoon have a slightly textured surface. I've washed it by hand and in the dishwasher. So far, it hasn't become permanently stained by foods like curry or chili, unlike my old nylon ladles. It has been good for lifting poached eggs, ravioli, pasta, and veggies. I have not used it in hot oil. Works great and the minty green color looks good in a utensil holder with other things.
