The sock was very effectively in removing impurities in the aquarium water. It collected large and small particles easily. It was also easy to wash off the impurities. The inside of the socks are smoother than the rough outside, making it easier to clean. Interestingly, this material can also work as algae mitten.

They fit alright, though I've been thinking maybe a tad longer would've been better. But, they're doing their job as is.Washing RoutineHere's the kicker: I toss them in the washing machine with a bit of bleach—no detergent—and they come out good as new. Makes it easy to keep a rotation going without it feeling like a chore.My Two CentsThese filter socks have been a decent investment. They're not changing my world, but they're definitely making a difference in water clarity. If you're tinkering with your filtration and want an extra edge on cleanliness, giving these a shot might not be a bad idea.

Very happy with these. Using them in a small sump system that I made, for my African dwarf frogs tank, and they are working wonderfully!The felt is dense enough to stop the smallest particles (200micron), so keeps my water well polished, after passing through this, several layers of filter floss, and many layers of med-weight foam. I don't have a "sock bracket", so just have the my outlet hose going to the little "handle" part, and it fits tight enough hanging to hold it well. I also appreciate the quality of the build, as I have little worry about these coming apart when cleaned. The sewing was well done, and looks to hold for a long while!Works for me!!
