I wish it had a couple more options*, or even 14 buttons total. The start button will double as a “bonus” switch. First you un-twist the emergency stop, followed by pressing the start button. Now everything is active. A subsequent press of the start button allows it to run another control (ie button 13). In my mind, for a lot of setups, this means:Row 1 and 4 are winch up/down for crane 1 and 2.Rows 2 and 5 are East/West for Crane 1 and 2Rows 3 and 6 are North/South for Crane 1 and 2,And lastly, the start button would relay join (up on the cranes) the up/down, N/S/E/W buttons while being held. (If it had more buttons you could have a couple/uncouple/ temp couple button).*There is a
programming cable available
which might give you more flexibility/options, depending on your crane and current setup. I didn’t need it for my application.I haven’t tested the range, however they claim 100 m. I never have to work anywhere close to these distances from the receiver. There are safety provisions built in that if you press any buttons on the same row at the same time, they both shut down until both are released. You can run multiple rows simultaneously. That is the one issue with my scenario above, that nothing would be stopping you from pressing Row 1 up and row 4 down while holding the start button. Potentially your relay join up top would disconnect your rows 4-6 automatically.I can’t comment if these meet the safety specs your company would need for lifting devices, but the function seems good. I do notice maybe a 1/10 of a second delay/continuation from button presses if you are needing to “jog”

There's an overhead gantry crane in the old barn. It's a huge setup that runs on some huge steel beams. I wanted to use it, but the control didn't seem to work. This got it working in no time.I didn't bother trying to install this myself. I probably could have, but I have an electrician on my payroll, so I made him do it. He said there was nothing difficult about it.Once it was installed, it worked great and is extremely easy to use. The crane is rated at 10 tons, so I can move all kinds of stuff around that old barn. Well, maybe it's better to call it a Morton building. That's what my wife's grandfather called it when he was still alive. It's a big, metal building with the crane inside, attached to some huge beams.I have been using it to move sort of heavy stuff all around the barn for a few months now. I haven't picked up anything close to 10 tons until recently. I had a lathe delivered, and it was over 5 tons. I had the driver pull his truck into the building, hooked the lathe up to the crane, lifted the lathe, and had him drive out. Then I put the lathe down where I wanted it. Everything went great. Granted, all the control did was control everything, if something were to catastrophically fail, it would have been the crane's fault, but still, it worked. The control going out in the middle of having a 5+ ton lathe dangling off the ground would have been...bad.I should add that I don't have much experience with cranes like this, but I can use it easily. It's pretty simple to understand.

The instructions are a bit confusing but figured it out. Had to use 6 diodes on the crane so the hydraulic pump only runs when asking for a command. Would have cost thousands to replace the pennant and other factory controls.

Needed 8 jog remote control buttons (with 2 remote). All 12 buttons are dry contact which is very useful. Remote worked > 100 feet. Works great.
