I ordered these for a gift for my budding artist grandchild to dabble in watercolor. After seeing some of the work produced with the brushes I ordered a set for myself to carry in a field bag. I've used them many times now and I'm very pleased with the results. They aren't masterpiece brushes but they are definitely worth the price. You should be aware the brushes hold on to pigment and require careful washing but a drop of soap gets them clean. No loose hairs or ferules. Comfortable weight and handle shape. Certainly a 5 star product.

Dopo esattamente un anno di utilizzo i pennelli sono totalmente integri e non perdono setole. Ottimi!

All right, color me impressed. I am extremely satisfied with these brushes. Long review ahead:I am a watercolor artist of medium experience. Unless I aggressively look for sales and coupons, watercolor brushes have been generally too expensive for me to feel comfortable buying them, and the few times I've gone for something expensive I've been unsatisfied with the quality versus the cost. As in, the quality is very good, but I still think the price is necessarily high. I usually spring for multi-packs but haven't yet been completely satisfied until these. They hold a decent amount of water. They keep their shape well, so detail work is much easier, even when using only the tip of a larger brush. The set also comes with some very fine detail brushes as well, and they keep their shape very well. The brushes have great snap-back, so controlling the shape of strokes is super easy. The wood is lightweight and weighted toward the front by the ferrule, which also helps with control. Their stiffness is also really good for scrubbing color from dry pan watercolors as well as scrubbing color off the paper when needed. So far I have experienced no fallout of bristles onto my paper, which seems to be a huge hallmark of less expensive brushes. One thing I can't comment on is the longevity of the glue, but I will update my review if the ferrule separates from the barrel. It's worth mentioning again just how much I love their snap-back.Good assortment of shapes and sizes, too, from small detail brushes that are ACTUALLY SMALL, some are angled, and some are flat rounds. There is also one fan brush, though I haven't tried that one out yet.The only improvement I could think of at the moment would be the inclusion of a cat's tongue brush, but that's a kind of rare one to see in sets to begin with.As for the case, I am happy with it too. It zippers closed and about half the size of a standard notebook when shut. Each brush is held with an elastic band. The top of the case folds back and has a small strap with a snap that attaches to the bottom, which keeps the set open in a tent shape so you can prop it up and have all the brushes on hand while working. You can also hang it upside down with the brushes in the loops in order to have them dry before putting them away. The brushes are packaged well, each in its own plastic sleeve. The round brushes have a protective plastic tip.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with these brushes. I would recommend them to beginners and more advanced artists. I don't have much experience with sable brushes, though it seems the general opinion is that those are the best, as I only have two or three rounds, but I do find myself reaching for this set more often than any others in my collection of probably 50+.This set is great for having a variety of shapes and sizes to try out. Once an artist finds their favorite type, it would be really easy to purchase an upgrade and swap it out in the set.As for the company: MoZart is fairly new on the market, and I blind purchased a few of their items, and they do really seem to live up to their creed of providing art supplies for artists by artists.I have the water brush pens, Komorebi watercolor set of 40, neon watercolor set, and these brushes, and I have been extremely happy with the quality for the price. I believe that they source a lot of their products from Japan and have them assembled in China, which is why the costs are lower than other products of comparable quality. I've seen some negative reviews on their products in the beginning, but most of them have been referencing quality control. According to the owners, they have been working with different manufacturers and I believe they have finally found someone reliable since I have had absolutely no problems with uneven paint amounts, bubbles, or manufacturing errors. I have also noted that there have been a lack of bad reviews for many months now.I think this company is just young enough that there is still that fire to provide good product. The prices are comparable to the other newer company Arteza, though I would choose MoZart over Arteza as I feel the quality is geared more towards professional arists while Arteza is more suitable for students, hobbyists, or those just wanting to practice without feeling like they're wasting their more expensive palettes (like Holbein, Shmincke, White Nights, Sennelier, etc). Arteza also has a lot more variety, but I'm hoping MoZart will slowly expand over the years to include a lot more.In summation, I truly would recommend these brushes and will keep them in mind for gifts when the holidays come around.
