Verwende die Kette für mein E-Bike und habe bis dato einen uneingeschränkt positiven Eindruck von ihr. Sie wirkt ungemein stabil, der Mechanismus des Schlosses arbeitet leichtgängig und doch präzise. Die Kette ist mit ca. 3 kg zwar relativ schwer, aber das ist nun mal der Preis, den man für die gebotene Sicherheit entrichten muss. Denke, dass sie auch einem starken Bolzenschneider ohne weiteres widersteht und ihr nur mit einer Flex beizukommen ist, was das Diebstahl-Risiko minimiert.Fazit: ein guter Kauf!

Very heavy sturdy chain lock with smooth operation. This is definitely a lock that needs to be transported in an accessory bag on bike and it is way too heavy and big to wrap around frame in any sensible way. I am using a lighter weight chain lock for trips with quick and easy stops and using this Kryptonite one for rides where i need more security. It fits nicely in a cargo rack mounted panier bag. I also like this lock for use for securing my bike when transporting on my jeep bike rack. I can stop for lunch or whatever and not worry about someone lifting it off the jeep. Yes its heavy and cumbersome but if you need security, thats the tradeoff. Its basically a very good deterrent I think. I would recommend getting this lock, but also getting a lighter weight one so you can get by using this one for those instances when bike will be unattended for longer periods as carrying this one requires more planning and weight on the bike. If you always ride with a cargo bag, then this lock is a good choice too.

Obviously, I won't really know how good it is until/unless, we have an attempt at theft of the bicycle(s) however, it appear to be well made. It's very heavy so I can't see us carrying the chain whilst out cycling but it is in use as a security measure when the bikes are stored. I was disappointed at having to spend some time with a set of fine needle files tidying up the keys on both this and the Kryptonite D-lock we purchased at the same time because the keys kept sticking in the locks often making it almost impossible to release. They are fine now that all burrs have been removed and the lock mechanisms lubricated with silicon/graphite lube. I had read of other users complaining about locks sticking and rusting so if this feedback assists others, it's been worthwhile. Obviously, regular lubrication is vital to prevent rusting which is going to happen, if the locks are in use outside in during inclement weather...

I chose one of the lighter Kryptonite chain locks for security, but 7 lbs is a lot for a small woman to bike around. Maybe in a back pack or bungeed on the rat trap. Various cases won't work with my frame.

Confido nella suo robustezza che si deduce dal peso e dal tipo di materiali utilizzati. Un pò pesante ma non ci sono alternative

ottimo prodotto e molto affidabile, chiaramente nei limiti .....di ogni esperto in materia….un po pesante da trasportare,la chiave e'comoda da inserire..

Si tratta di un prodotto particolare: molto (MOLTO) pesante, da l'idea di sicurezza estrema. Per me non è un problema dato che la trasporto in un bauletto ma se pensate di attaccarla alla canna non credo che sia cosa comoda.La chiusura e la serratura non sono molto precise e a volte si fatica a sistemare il tutto.Il vero plus di questa marca è l'assicurazione che rimborsa la bici/scooter se vi viene rubato quando attaccato con quetso lucchetto ( o con altri della marca). Certo è a pagamento ( nel mio caso 25 euro per 5 anni di protezione ) però permette di stare tranquilli anche con bici elettriche di medio costo ( c'è un limite al rimborso, ci sono le tabelle sul loro sito). L'assicurazione si compra a parte dopo il lucchetto e richiede di spedire un po di documentazione a kryptonite ( fattura/scontrino di lucchetto e bici ad esempio ).

L'ho acquista per usufruire della garanzia contro il furto nella speranza di non averne mai necessità! LA lunghezza è appena sufficiente ed la chiusura non particolarmente precisa.
